Arit Original
This original artwork is an exploration of the ancient Egyptian concept of Arit.
Arit is a passageway or doorway. In the astral realm, many gates and doors lead one through the otherworld and the hours of the night (or subconscious). As it is in life, so it is in death. We pass through many doorways which also represent our ability to pass through our personal trials and tribulations. Doing nothing gets us nowhere. Change and constant movement is the marker of manifest life.
In order to pass through an arit - it requires a change in our consciousness. The power of the hieroglyph comes from learning to walk through our trials without the need to judge or criticise ourselves or others. It is a testament to staying in our power, our truth & sense of faith in that truth. Crossing this threshold means passage without fear and the total reconciliation of doubt.
On a more psychic level, Arit reminds us to prepare our vessels before moving into alternate realities or trance states.
