Hu Original
This original artwork is an ode to HU the ancient Egyptian hieroglyph for BREATH.
Hu (ḥw), in ancient Egypt, was the deification of the first word, the word of creation, that Atum was said to have exclaimed upon his primordial act of creating the first ennead.
If you breathe in deeply and let out a long, audible sighing exhale, you will hear the hieroglyph Hu (H-OOO). Breath is the connection point for all life in the universe. Inspiration means the ‘Breath of God’. In the beginning was the Word and HU was that word. The first breath animating life into being. Hu offers the consciousness of God into the HU-MAN.
This portal is a powerful symbol of the importance of Breath, our animating Spirit, which connects us to God and all life. It reminds us that we move from unconsciousness into consciousness through Breath. It is said that Sia (wisdom) accompanies Hu (breath).
