Dream Work: Cultivating A Dream Practice
Each night we enter the dream dimension. Our body physical body goes into a state of paralysis while our brain moves through a 90-minute cycle of frequencies. This cycle takes us from aware/light sleep (alpha) into REM dreaming (theta) & then into deep dreamless sleep (delta).
For the most part, we are experiencing dreams as passive participants. We move from scene to scene in an almost non-sensical way, with little to no control over the context & content of our dreams. Many ancient cultures show evidence of some form of active-dream practice. A practice in which you bring your conscious awareness with you into the physically unconscious state that is the dream.
This text is a brief but potent how-to guide for beginning an active dream practice. Throughout my life I have been exploring the potentiality of an active dream practice and I am excited to offer my insights & experiences in this book.
