In the Egyptian Ogdoad, the frog appears as a form of the male consorts of the primordial deities. Their powers belong to the conditions that exist before creation: the waters, boundlessness, darkness and hiddenness. As operatives of consciousness, they draw our attention toward the depths from which possibility emerges.
Within us, these depths hold the idea we cannot yet articulate, the desire beginning to stir, the creative impulse whose direction is still unfolding. We encounter them whenever we sense something coming into being before we understand its shape & form. There is richness in this mystery and space to discover what our familiar definitions have yet to contain.
